What is the NDIS and how does it work?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian government program created to support individuals with disabilities. It aims to empower participants by providing greater choice and control over the services and supports they receive.

The NDIS uses an individualized funding approach, allocating resources based on each participant’s unique needs and goals.

To be eligible for the NDIS, a person must be under 65 years old, an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that significantly impacts their ability to engage in everyday activities.
